| Thank
you for your interest in a Talistar Birman kitten!
Birmans are loving
and social animals. They make wonderful pets, generally preferring to
be in a multi-pet household. Our kittens are raised in the house, underfoot,
in the bed, around the dogs and with the family. Birmans are often thought
of as a "middle of the road" type of cat. While they are intelligent,
active and playful, they generally are not destructive nor overly vocal.
They love to be with "their" people, bonding with more than
just the "food provider" and tend to follow you around like
a dog. They also like to "help" you read by sitting on your
book or paper or rubbing against it for visual aide, help you sleep by
cuddling with you or taking the middle of the bed, and are particularly
fond of helping prepare food (especially theirs). Some are lap sitters
and some prefer to sit next to you, while some prefer to place a paw on
you, just to let you know they are there. Some are "leg weavers"
and others keep their distance from moving people. Each cat has his or
her own special purrsonality waiting to be recognized by their human family.
Our Birmans are strictly indoor cats and will only be placed in homes
where they will remain indoor pets. This is for the protection of the
cat. All kittens will have received their first shots. Depending upon
the kitten's age, they may have also received a rabies vaccine. Talistar
is a FeLk free environment and all cats are fully vaccinated. All of our
cats have tested negative for FeLk. A health record and certificate of
health will be provided for all Talistar kittens.
Please fill out the enclosed questionnaire and return it for our files.
Please don't be offended by the questions, this is one of the tools we
use to help us approve only the very best, loving, safe homes for our
purrbabies. I look forward to talking with you in the future and getting
to know more about you. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about
our cattery or our cats and kittens.
